About Us

Our Meetings

The East York Historical Society meets on the last Tuesday of January, March, May, September and November at the S Walter Stewart Library. Refreshments are served at 7:00 pm followed by a 7:30 presentation. We begin with announcements and any Society business followed by an illustrated presentation on a subject of historical interest.

Our meetings are co-sponsored by the Toronto Public Library and are held at the John S. Ridout Auditorium at the S. Walter Stewart Branch at 170 Memorial Park Avenue at Durant Ave.

We are collecting items for various charities which may be brought to any of our meetings. Items are plastic 4 litre milk bags, used postage stamps, pop can tabs and Campbell Soup labels.

We also hold some afternoon Discussion Group meetings.

See our calendar page for details. Guests are welcome at all meetings.
